Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible to lead, manage and develop an IT team working on diverse technologies for Emerson IT Solutions, Enterprise IT in Pune, India. The role will require to support the organization's strategic direction and vision, as well as create and run long term goals for the group by collaborating with overseas leaders and India IT Leaders. Primary focus will be to ensure quality of service delivery and building an inclusive environment of the organization by applying global, regional and site level programs and Initiatives.

In addition, the Program Manager is also required to lead the service delivery of the Elastic IT work model which supports the short-term IT resource needs for Emerson IT. This includes handling resource demands, ensuring pipeline of candidates and right placement to support key projects and operations for Emerson IT. The elastic model also requires good vendor management skills to work in a multi-vendor facing/dealing capacity.

Prior experience in both Program Management and Team Management is must to be successful in this role.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provide Management oversight, leadership and site level supervision to team within the Organization
  • Work closely with EITS Center Leader and HR Leader as a Person/Position of Trust to brainstorm future roadmaps, employee needs, site planning
  • People Management - bringing cohesiveness to the Team, developing Leaders, conflict resolution, creating a diverse and healthy work environment and attrition management
  • Working closely with operations leadership to prioritize projects based on current and future roadmap, identify resource needs, work with recruitment team nd identifying the right talent and onboarding them to Teams & Projects
  • Collaborate with Emerson India IT’s service portfolio Leads and Operations Leadership on regular basis to develop the mission, goals and priorities for the teams in Pune
  • To handle various Functional Tracks as needed to ensure that cross-functional project work across the Team is implemented and delivered as per requirements and within timelines in collaboration with the Service / Portfolio Leads
  • Ensure delivery of training programs for the group, helping individuals to define development plan and ensure successful implementation and governance of training employees as well as college hires
  • Balance collaborators in a matrix organization ensuring clear communication between various Leaders / Managers and provide clarity to the team when there is ambiguity
  • Lead site level communications and initiatives for in consultation with Emerson India IT Leadership and Pune Engineering Site Leadership
  • Identify & measure important metrics, potential risks / critical issues and develop and implement mitigation plan with inputs from other collaborators

Who You Are:

You are a leader who is self- driven, shows tremendous amount of initiative and gracefully handles ambiguity. You possess strong leadership and skills and have a proven track record of developing and implementing strategies to achieve organizational objectives.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 15+ Years of Total IT Experience with at least 7+ yrs. in Leading team of IT professionals in a fast paced, change enabled, matrix environment with direct supervisory role
  • Experience in handling a portfolio of diverse service / technology teams
  • Experience in running technical delivery teams in ERP, Application Development and Support and process automation will be preferred
  • Effective verbal and written Communication, interpersonal and Facilitation Skills
  • Experience running and working with Global teams in distributed delivery model for a large-scale organization is important
  • Experience in Managing Vendors and contingent workforce for projects is preferred.
  • Experience in developing employees and their skills to expand the team capabilities and provide growth opportunities for future leaders
  • Ability to solve practical problems and implement responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Must possess the highest level of work ethics, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidential information

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Engineering (Computer Science or any related field)
  • MBA will be a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills using English, both spoken and written, as will be working with overseas team
