We are looking for an experienced Hardware Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of locomotive simulator projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware project management within the railway or simulation industries and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hardware design, development, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage detailed project plans for hardware development, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and progress.
  • Hardware Development: Oversee the design, development, and testing of hardware components for locomotive simulators. Ensure all hardware meets technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Monitor and report on project risks and issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all hardware components comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Conduct regular quality checks and implement improvements as needed.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints. Address any financial issues promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and post-project evaluations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in hardware project management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of hardware components and services.


Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in hardware project management within the railway, simulation, or related industries.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of hardware development processes, tools, and technologies relevant to locomotive simulators.
  • Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software. Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
