Bruno Software

About Bruno:

Bruno is an open-source, Git-friendly alternative to tools like Postman—built for developers who value local-first workflows and simplicity. We’re growing fast and need someone who can help shape the future of developer experience.

Background:

Bruno is rapidly growing in usage and adoption, and we’re looking for an inaugural Product Manager to ensure we continue to deliver the best product possible.

With a product that is touching 400,000 monthly users and thousands of customers, it’s important that we’re delivering valuable new features in demand by these stakeholders and also continuing to innovate based on the market.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and evolve Bruno’s product roadmap, with a deep understanding of developer workflows and open-source dynamics

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and the community to prioritize features and improve UX

  • Actively gather feedback from our users (developers, OSS maintainers, teams using Bruno)

  • Define product requirements and success metrics

  • Help us grow the Bruno ecosystem—CLI tooling, integrations, and documentation

About you:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer building and shipping high-quality software in fast-moving teams.

  • Alongside engineering experience, 2–5 years of Product Management experience (ideally in dev tools, APIs, or infrastructure)

  • Passion for open-source software and experience working with OSS communities

  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Know how to disagree and commit, give and receive feedback, and play for the team.

  • Great communication skills and a collaborative, async-friendly work style

  • You love clean, minimal, developer-first products.

Bonus:

  • Experience contributing to open-source projects

  • Familiarity with tools like Postman, Insomnia, cURL, etc.

  • Have side projects or deep dives you’ve pursued just because you care.

  • You speak with clarity and purpose, but without ego - prioritizing learning over being right.

Why Bruno?

  • We’re small, scrappy, and shipping fast.

  • Your work will directly shape a product developers use every day.

  • We care about clean code, thoughtful UX, and building in the open

  • Opportunity to be part of something that is reshaping a massive segment of developer tooling and experience..
