Job Summary
As Product Marketing Manager in our Product Marketing organization, you will lead the outbound marketing of our portfolio of products for backup and cyber-protection. In this highly visible and strategic role, you will work closely with product management, corporate marketing, and sales to define product positioning and messaging, bring new products to market, and grow our business through integrated sales and marketing campaigns. This role will report directly to the Head of Product Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Defining the positioning, value propositions, and unique business value of our portfolio of products for backup and cyber-protection, including translating technical capabilities into benefits, and crafting compelling, differentiated messaging that connects with target customer personas.
- Launching new products to market with an emphasis on driving funnel and revenue growth.
- Defining campaigns to engage new and existing customers, including definition of Ideal Customer Profiles and developing content across the buyer’s journey to drive demand generation.
- Evangelizing Quantum’s story to industry press, analysts, partners, and customers.
- Providing market, analyst, and customer input to influence our product roadmaps and market strategy.
- Updating and maintaining competitive material for your products.
- Training our sales team and channel partners on your products so they can identify prospects, effectively sell and win.
- Collaborating directly with team members to understand and evaluate marketing tactics that are/aren't working and adapt content, cadence, style or overall strategy accordingly to maximize results.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with relevant job experience.
- 5-10 years of direct experience in product marketing of enterprise data storage products.
- Some experience in backup, data protection, and/or cyber-protection is strongly preferred.
- Flexible to work across some U.S. hours for collaboration with U.S. based team members and participation in strategic discussions and meetings.
- Excellent storytelling, written and oral communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills – you will be presenting in front of customers, partners, and our sales team on a regular basis.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties, who are geographically dispersed.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills to lead product launches and be the primary driver in aligning various cross-functions on delivery of supporting tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, global work environment.
