Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in Specialty Insurance Underwriting, Policy Administration and/or Claims, to join our dynamic and growing Core Insurance Product Team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the configuration and enhancement of our Speciality Insurance solutions, with a focus on streamlining and optimizing the core processes – underwriting, policy administration & claims
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Innoveo Skye configurators, designers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that align with market needs and business objectives.
Key Responbilities
• Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders, including underwriters, actuaries, analysts, SMEs and other business units, to gather and prioritize requirements for product enhancements.
• Backlog Management: Own the product backlog, defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Product Roadmap: Create and manage a detailed product roadmap at a feature level, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives, product vision and customer needs.
• Sprint Planning & Execution: Lead sprint planning sessions, collaborate with the development team to ensure features are delivered on time, and address any blockers.
• User Story Development: Translate insurance requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Oversee user acceptance testing to ensure that the delivered features meet the expected standards and requirements.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that the product meets industry standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices in insurance underwriting.

Qualifications
- Education - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, IT or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner and overall 10+ years of experience as Business Analyst, or similar role in the Specialty Insurance industry, preferably Accident & Health (A&H)
- Strong background in A&H or Specialty Insurance underwriting, with a deep understanding of underwriting processes, principles, and industry best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments preferably worked as a Scrum Master.
- Familiarity with insurance software platforms and underwriting management systems.
- Proficiency in using product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Aha!) and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel).
- An effective communicator, able to clearly articulate business and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Experience in managing parallel work streams with global teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
