Job Description:
Responsibilities of the Product Owner II, State Reporting
With guidance, translates the State or Federally Published report specifications and customer business requirements into User Stories for development.
Elaborate on non-functional requirements and ensure they are captured in the backlog
Collaborate with Product Manager and Engineering for depth of understanding of business requirements
With guidance creates Technical Specifications/Report Design/Requirements in line with the guiding principles of Compliance Reporting
Assists in the creation of the internal and Customer facing documentation and maintenance of the documentation
Assists in any data migration/data analysis components of a project Assess impact of proposed implementation to other systems/components within the platform
Drives, grooms, and executes the sprint planning
Assist in stocking and grooming the product backlog through user stories that represent the scope
Help in collaborating and facilitating with internal stakeholder knowledge transfer
Evaluate and produce requirements needed for ongoing customer support of the State Reports within the region
Supports team in creating & maintaining the backlog items including sustainment and prioritize them based on the overall strategy and business objectives with 15-20% time allocated to sustainment tickets
Maintains functional knowledge on usage of the product and how it fits into the customerβs workflow
Understand and Support Compliance Reporting needs for states in assigned Region
Supports the execution of the compliance reporting roadmap and decomposes into functional releases
Supports product integrations with other products/partners
Collaborate closely with other Product Owners in defining capacity and sprints in a cross matrixed team
Lead Backlog grooming sessions and Product Status meeting
Actively engages Product Manager and prospects to test new product concepts
Supports customer beta program for compliance reporting GTM
Supports the PM in managing & monitoring project plan, schedule and budget (Support project approval, Charter, Azure/TFS/Jira, MS Project, etc.)
Assists PM and Director in weekly updates to RAID Log (Risk, Action, Issues, Decisions).
Qualifications of the Product Owner II, State Reporting
Higher Education (BS/BA equivalent)
3+ yearsβ experience in product owner, reporting, analytics or other directly related role with healthcare or B2B software industry.
Relevant experience and knowledge includes data analytics, and/or state and federal reporting
Knowledge of the US Healthcare/ Behavioral Healthcare Industry strongly preferred
Ability to translate complex specifications.
Knowledge of Agile methodology and SCRUM.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with disparate teams.
Analytical thinker with the ability to understand business needs to make informed product decisions
