We're looking for highly motivated and experienced Product Owner with a deep understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and the manufacturing domain
Responsibilities
Own and Prioritize the Product Backlog: Be the ultimate owner of your product backlog, meticulously defining, refining, and prioritizing user stories, features, and epics to maximize business value and align with the product strategy.
Translate Vision into Action: Work closely with the Technical Product Manager (or Product Manager) to understand the overall product vision and strategy, breaking it down into actionable, well-defined requirements for the development team.
Craft Clear User Stories: Write clear, concise, and testable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, ensuring the development team has a complete understanding of what needs to be built.
Engage with Stakeholders: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders (customers, sales, support, internal business units) regarding the product backlog, managing expectations and ensuring their needs are represented.
Collaborate with the Development Team: Work daily with your agile development team, participating in all agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives), answering questions, and providing clarification.
Accept Completed Work: Review and accept completed user stories, ensuring they meet the defined acceptance criteria and contribute to the overall product quality and user experience.
Deep Dive into User Needs: Continuously gather and analyze user feedback, market trends, and competitive insights to inform backlog prioritization and ensure the product remains relevant and valuable.
Become a Domain Expert: Maintain a deep understanding of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements in warehouse management, logistics, and manufacturing.
Facilitate Communication: Ensure seamless communication and transparency between the development team, stakeholders, and other product functions.
Qualifications
B.Tech/B.E.
Essential skills
Experience (10+ Years): A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in product development, with at least 5-7 years specifically as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
Agile Expertise: Proven hands-on experience applying Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and a deep understanding of the Product Owner role within these frameworks.
Warehouse Management Expertise: Deep, hands-on expertise with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and material flow.
Manufacturing Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of the manufacturing industry, including production processes, supply chain dynamics, and the unique challenges faced by manufacturers.
Industry Experience (Plus): Direct hands-on experience working within a manufacturing company or developing solutions specifically for the manufacturing sector is a significant advantage.
Technical Acumen: Ability to understand complex technical concepts, engage in technical discussions with engineering teams, and make informed decisions about feature implementation and technical trade-offs.
Exceptional Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives and customers.
Passion for Product Development: A genuine enthusiasm for building innovative products, solving complex problems, and continuously learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to contribute to and execute a product strategy by effectively managing and prioritizing the product backlog to deliver measurable results.
Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Certifications (Plus): Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certifications are highly desirable.
