Roles & Responsibility: Project manager and analyst

Profile

The Business Analyst acts as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working with IT project teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed. The Business Analyst is an active thought partner and application visionary that shapes the technology demand among the business community.

The Project Manager is accountable for the success of all projects under their supervision. Project manager plans, executes, and delivers all projects and changes on time, on budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the manager tracks project status and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis, Business Partnership and Technical Delivery

· Work with executive and senior leaders to creating and maintain an operating plan to achieve the strategic vision and operating platform that defines the people, processes, tools, and technology

· Partner with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements

· Analyze, document and test program development, logic, process flows and specifications

· Partner with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing

· Document user manuals to describe application installation and operating procedures

· Coordinate the project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget

· Collaborate with Information Security team to deliver solutions adhering to security standards

· Manage operational issues for applications in the production environment

Project Management

· Define and create project plans for project

· Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value

· Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria

· Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project lifecycles

· Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects

· Assess and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered

· Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company

· Continually update relevant business stakeholder of project status

· Ensure all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in business case

People Management

· Manage a team of Technical analysts and experts from within IT & Service Partners, guiding them on solutioning, architecture, modeling techniques, approaches & methodologies to ensure successful delivery.

· Goal Setting of Direct Reports, Managing Development of Direct Reports and Coaching/Mentoring of Direct Reports. Ensuring the proper Rewards and Recognition of Direct and Indirect Reports along with Career Planning for them.

· Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into application requirements

· Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations

Technical Skills

· Hands on experience with C#.NET, Angular/AngularJS, Sharepoint

· Strong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards

· Modeling Techniques: Object Orientation analysis, UML (e.g. Use Cases, Activity Diagrams)

· In depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, RUP, and Waterfall)

· Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications
