About the Role 

We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Product Owner to lead the roadmap and delivery of our  Salesforce AppExchange-based Customer Onboarding Application, with a strong focus on the Consumer Goods and Retail Execution domain. This role is critical to defining the product vision, ensuring high-quality releases, and driving continuous value for Salesforce customers operating in high-volume, route-to-market, and retail execution environments.  

As the Product Owner, you ll work closely with stakeholders across customers, engineering, and QA, to deliver a robust onboarding solution that enables consumer goods organizations to activate and empower their B2B customers at scale.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the product roadmap for the Customer Onboarding application for both web and mobile on Salesforce AppExchange.
  • Partner with customers to understand Customer Experience (CX) and customer feedback and get inputs to the product roadmap. Publish roadmap to customers on routine basis. 
  • Work with the business analyst to translate business needs especially in Consumer Goods, Retail Execution, and Distribution into detailed product requirements and user stories. 
  • Own the prioritization of the product backlog to maximize business value and ensure high quality, seamless onboarding capability delivery. 
  • Collaborate with UX designers to create user-friendly onboarding experiences tailored for sales reps, merchandisers, and distributors, and self-service. 
  • Partner with Salesforce development teams to ensure successful delivery of features that meet real-world retail execution requirements. 
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, leveraging insights to refine product capabilities.
  • Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos.
  • Ensure compliance with Salesforce AppExchange standards, including security reviews and managed package updates. 
  • Build and maintain go-to-market content, onboarding and installation guides, and product training for the field. 
  • Work with marketing on brand and marketing strategy to support sales and pre-sales.
  • Analyze KPIs related to onboarding speed, conversion, and field usage to continuously improve the product.

Required Skills

  • Experience launching or supporting Salesforce AppExchange products. 
  • Exposure to integration with ERP, order management, or trade promotion systems in consumer goods. 
  • Understanding of digital onboarding best practices and workflow automation in retail environments. 
  • Strong domain expertise in Consumer Goods, Retail Execution, B2B Commerce.
  • Familiarity with DSD, field rep enablement, merchandising workflows, and outlet onboarding.
  • Experience writing Epics and User Stories using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and modern product development practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Business, or a related field. 
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, App Builder, Business Analyst) are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership or product management.
  • Minimum 3 years working with Salesforce products; experience with Salesforce
  • AppExchange apps preferred.
