Job Description Summary

Contractual Services Principal TPM will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of strategy, planning, development and transformation of the CS value stream. In this role, you will define and execute the strategy of consolidation and simplification of the CS product portfolio, laying the foundation of a true Integrated Contractual Services Platform, that will fulfill the needs of Gas Power Global Services business functions. You will define the roadmap for all the CS products in conjunction towards the platform strategy and will work with the respective CS Product Managers on the execution of the programs in the functional area or affected business function.

Customer representative accountable for all aspects (planning, forecasting, production) of the end-to-end lifecycle of a platform/product. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to align strategic initiatives supporting the Gas Power Services Margin Review, Billing, Forecasting, Cost Reconciliation, Bonus/Liquidated Damages, Escalation Factor and Catalog Updates. 
  • Alignment with other value streams within Global Services such as Outage Management, Commercial and Data Analytics.
  • Create strategic roadmap for the overall CS value stream. 
  • Coordinates work of several parallel teams to deliver on higher level outcomes. 
  • Responsible for transparent delivery, execution and maximizing returns. Focuses on execution for the product release milestone.
  • Define strategic requirements towards Contractual Services Application Portfolio Consolidation and Simplification.
  • Leverages deep process/domain expertise and partners with Product Owners and technical development team. 
  • Influences key stakeholders in design and planning decisions. Drives the development of products that are targeted at a (usually) very technical audience. Combines the customer vision with technical feasibility to convert business needs into functional specifications/user stories. 
  • Works with customers/stakeholders to prioritize needs based on Services Hoshin initiatives.
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the Global Services Contractual Services business function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Works with cross-functional teams including cyber security, legal, risk, ERP, and engineering.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Contractual Services value stream and Gas Power Global Services business processes including Margin Review, Billing, Account Reconciliation, Catalog Updates, Outage Execution.
  • Working knowledge of Microservice Architecture, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns, and Java coding principles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework development methodology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SOX compliance for DT Applications including responding to audit request and working with audit management tools.
  • Understanding of development protocols including: caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security
  • Ability to advise on ‘buy versus build’ recommendations, scoping Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for features and functionalities, and driving market timing decisions.
  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Digital Technology & Technical Product Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
