It supports Hy-Vee’s business growth and modernization needs by accelerating the adoption of technology across enterprise operations. The Hy-Vee IT team is looking to expand its capabilities in software development and delivery with roles such as Agile and full stack and data analysts based out of Bangalore. About the Team

Product management involves overseeing the development, launch, and continuous improvement of a product by coordinating with cross-functional teams and aligning with business objectives. It requires understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to create a product that delivers value and drives growth.

About the Data Team

The data team at HST Global encompasses Data Integration, Data Platform and Data Analytics. This team is tasked with managing the entire lifecycle of data from collection to analysis from various sources like sales transactions and customer interactions. They design and implement effective data storage, processing and retrieval solutions for databases and build data pipelines, optimize database designs and work closely with data scientists, architects, and analysts to ensure data quality and accessibility.

Primary Responsibilities and Frequency:

  • Leads roadmap development strategy for the vertical product domain.

  • Effective and patient communicator that can translate technical and non-technical issues to various team members

  • Proven ability to guide the definition and refinement of product vision and strategy

  • Collaborates with internal teams (senior leadership, development, communications, finance, marketing, legal, etc.) to help teams go-to-market strategies and execute overall product vision for new products and enhancing existing products.

  • Experience working within an environment with a Continuous Discovery/Delivery mindset

  • Work with data engineers, BI engineers and external stakeholders (primarily third-party marketplace vendors) to coordinate on the requirements, domain knowledge, implementation details and validations.

  • Must have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages

  • Assist with prioritizing projects deemed critical across the entire organization by helping manage to top priorities across teams competing for resources.

  • Help establish metrics to monitor overall product health and provide product enhancement recommendations.

  • Identify market opportunities and define product vision and strategy.

  • Ability to mentor Product Owners with some support

  • Help in conducting agile ceremonies, take ownership of running PI planning by coordinating with different stakeholders, creating dashboards reflecting team’s progress, KPIs, and health of different products and solutions.

  • Should have knowledge on writing SQL queries involving joins across multiple facts and dimension tables, applying different functions, aggregations and time-analysis on data.

  • Should be able to understand data models and come up with areas to report and analyze the data in multiple dimensions to generate meaningful insights.

Secondary Responsibilities: (These are considered occasional in nature)

  • Attends and is prepared to participate in department, company and industry meetings.

  • Provide assistance to Support Service personnel.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering, Business Administration or Management, Information Technology, Marketing or Retail Management

  • 8 to 12 years of similar or related work experience.

  • Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL querying.

  • Secondary – Experience working in any of the cloud environments and large data warehouse systems like BigQuery, Redshift, Teradata, Vertica, Snowflake.
