Who are we looking for?

Title: Program Manager

Arrangement: Full-time contract

Start Date: June 2025

Location: Mumbai

Reporting to: Head of Impact

We are looking for a hands-on implementor to drive end-to-end execution of large-scale, impact-driven programs across India. This is not a desk-only or team-management-only role, it demands someone who thrives in field settings, enjoys solving real-world problems, and can lead from the front with limited resources and support.

You will wear multiple hats across project execution, team handholding, documentation, digitisation, stakeholder engagement, and tech enablement. This role is ideal for someone who prefers rolling up their sleeves, and who can directly deliver results in dynamic, resource-constrained environments.

What you’ll do

The core role scope and responsibilities of the role will be:

    • Lead 3–5 programs annually, each with multi-state delivery scope, from planning to execution
    • Set up and operationalise 20+ markets per year
    • Ensure ≥90% adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality/compliance standards
    • Handhold and support 50–100 field staff/implementers across states
    • Conduct site field visits to troubleshoot and coach team members
    • Build team capacity to reduce issue recurrence by ≥60% within 6 months of deployment
    • Create, update, and manage implementation SOPs, checklists, FAQs, and guides
    • Experience in rollout and drive digital adoption of at least tech tools preferred (e.g., ERP, field app, dashboards)
    • Support with tech business requirements, testing and support resolution of field-tech issues
    • Coordinate permissions and documentation with local/state government offices
    • Prepare and own MoUs, permission letters, and presentations; participate in in-person or virtual meetings as required
    • Analyze monthly program data and feed into KPI dashboards across 5–10 impact metrics
    • Support development of monthly reports, QBRs, and 1–2 external proposal decks per quarter
    • Maintain live trackers for all active projects; update status dashboards weekly
    • Conduct internal review meetings and escalate risks >2 weeks in advance of projected delays
    • Integrate program inputs from multiple functions into field execution plans
    • Ensure timely feedback loops and alignment with cross-functional goals and timelines

    Who you are (probably!)

    • 5+ years of health program implementation experience in India
    • Deep understanding of Indian health system dynamics
    • Experience with multiple health conditions a plus
    • Experience in a loosely-structured, start-up-like setting and demonstrated ability to think quickly and independent
    • Ability to travel and meet partners where they are
    • High autonomy, entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to see the big picture and support achieving the details
    • A passion for healthcare access, innovation, and social impact – 52% of the world can’t access healthcare, our goal is to solve this
    • An agile, hardworking and growth mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment – grow, pivot, grow
    • Love dynamism and an ever-changing set of challenges and projects to work on – we have a lot going on, but it’s working!
